2006 Partner Survey Extended

Thank you to the many Partners who have taken a few moments to go online and complete our annual Partner Survey. We’ve extended the closing date for the survey to Dec. 18. What do you want in a Green Retreat?

Jan. 23-24 Workshop – Systems Approach for Process Improvement

Back by popular demand! P2AD is bringing renowned process improvement expert Bob Pojasek to Atlanta for a Systems Approach for Process Improvement Workshop. Join us in this 2-day workshop designed to help your organization improve environmental performance and identify actions that will prevent pollution and increase efficiency. The training consists of the application of a series of quality management tools (process mapping, root cause analysis, prioritization, etc.) used in sequence. You will work in small groups with technical assistance staff from P2AD, Georgia Tech, and UGA for maximized value for your operations. A real bargain at only $99 for both days! Tax Time is Coming! Do Know Your P2 Exemptions/ Credits?

Did you know that the Georgia Department of Revenue offers exemptions for sales tax and credits against state income tax for equipment used to reduce or eliminate air and/or water pollution? P2AD has compiled a Tip Sheet, including the relevant Official Code of Georgia references and contact information for pursuing these exemptions/credits.

How Can I Link to My APR?

Looking for ways to share your environmental commitment progress with your stakeholders? Partners may now easily link from their own Web sites to their Partnership for a Sustainable Georgia Annual Performance Reports. Just select your organization from the list at http://www.p2ad.org/dnr/partners/public, then select your APR and copy the URL for your Web site administrator.

Jan. 31 deadline for Water Conservation Grants

Beginning in March 2007, the Georgia Water Wise Council will award grants for educational water conservation programs. A maximum of $2,000 per grant will be awarded. The following are eligible: educational institutions, commercial businesses, state and local governments, agricultural entities, nonprofits and individuals. Projects may be educational, pilots and demonstrations, research, or implementation. Each project must have an educational component and partnerships are preferred. Application submittals are due by Jan. 31.
